Benefits of Adoption...
"Since legal adoption has become not just a norm but a necessity in human culture, the fostering phase has been such an integral part of the entire process. And this goes all the more beyond just adopting children, but with dogs most especially. Fostering dogs is a very fundamental step in the process of giving unwanted dogs a forever home, most primarily for the reason that fostering allows them a smoother transition into the next biggest phase of their lives. And fostering not just benefits the dog, but the human adopter as well, with the foster parent being able to give the forever parent detailed information on how the adoptee dog has responded during the fostering process.
The sad part is, most potential adopters, and the public in general are not aware of the benefits and importance of fostering. That's why a film like "Foster Dog" is gold because it allows us a glimpse into the beautiful world of fostering, a world, albeit vital, is also laden with its own set of challenges that we together as a society can address. Even non-dog lovers can't help but warm up to the strong message a short film like this is putting out. So yeah, let's all support such a benevolent and entertaining film, and kudos to the filmmaker for choosing a story that truly makes a difference. It has my paw of approval! Woof! "

Sweet Honesty of Cinematic Honey...
Lisa Alonso Vear, this short film’s writer, director and producer, also provides its heart and soul in an artfully crafted, irresistibly appealing story. “Foster Dog” won Best Editing for a Short Film for Alonso Vear and her editor, Christa Atherholt.
Alonso Vear successfully engages viewers in this ever increasingly cynical world to pay attention to the plight of potential pets awaiting adoption. Giving a suspenseful race-against-the- clock feel to Henry’s plight, this film quickly spins through its story to its happy conclusion. Shelters across America and around the world might do very well by considering this film as a powerful addition to their arsenals of public relations tools. The filmmaker brings a thought- provoking point of view to this issue, and leaves viewers with much to consider.
A short film sure to touch your heart with the sweet honesty of cinematic honey. This 14 minute journey can be savored by young and old alike, and is very worthy of sharing with kindred spirits.
